Douro Dummer Business Group to Meet in January

Businesses of all types that are based in Douro Dummer Township are invited to attend a business networking event on January 16, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. Initially established in early summer 2019, the intent of the group is to bring together business owners in the community to share ideas, network, learn and support one another. The upcoming meeting, which will be at the Warsaw Town Hall will feature a presentation from Gabi Dragomir, the Rural Economic Development Officer with Peterborough and the Kawarthas Economic Development. In her talk, Gabi will explain everything that is available to small business owners and entrepreneurs through Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development and the Business Advisory Centre. The event will also include a round-table conversation about your personal interests and goals as well as challenges, barriers, and opportunities your business face!

Businesses of any size and industry are welcome providing they operate from Douro Dummer Township. This could include farm operations, makers, shops, restaurants and tourism operators. “All businesses are welcome,” says Alyssa Heffernan of Heffernan First Aid. “There aren’t many opportunities to network with our local community and I am hoping that we can learn and grow from each other.”

The group aims to meet monthly and there is no membership or cost to attend. Interested business owners can learn more and RSVP by joining the Facebook group: or by contacting Alyssa Heffernan 705 931-5977
